Discover. Explore. New Adventures!
Location: Shiloh Center – 2600 Emmaus Ave.
June 12 thru August 11 (9 Weeks)
The Zion Park District Summer Day Camps provide an exciting, safe environment for children to have an unforgettable summer of fun. This is an opportunity for children to make new friends, see old friends and make great memories. Sign up for one, two, or as many weeks as you like! Each week is assigned a specific theme and most activities will relate to this theme for campers to enjoy!
In addition to fun themed weeks, our camp program curriculum is centered on “Paths of Adventure”. Our camps Paths of Adventure are designed to provide campers with a range of new, exciting, fun, environmental and educational experiences.
These paths include:
• Art Path
• Cooking Path
• Sports Path
• Nature Path
• Outdoor Education
• Outdoor Living
Each week campers will experience a new path of adventure. Path activities are structured and developed to match campers’ age and developmental abilities with the intent on them learning
and experiencing something new. For instance, some activities within our Nature Path consist of hiking one of the many trails at the Illinois Beach State Park, nature scavenger hunts, creating
terrariums, and getting their hands dirty at the Zion Helping Hand
Community Garden!
Campers will also experience traditional camp activities such as swimming twice a week at the Port Shiloh Pool, camp field games and our annual camp talent show and picnic! Each camper will
also receive a cool camp T-shirt and bag! Bring a swimsuit, towel, sunscreen and water bottle daily! Morning snack provided. Free lunch is also provided.
STAFF
Our camp staff is the best around! Comprised of experienced recreational leaders, high school and college students, and even a couple previous campers! All of our general counselors are ages 18
and over, have been trained and certified in Adult and Child CPR/First Aid with AED, and will make sure your camper has a memorable experience with us!
