About the Zion Park District

ZION PARK DISTRICT

Zion Park District was founded in 1946. The Illinois Legislature has given Zion Park District the particular responsibility of providing and maintaining open space, and for offering recreational facilities and programs for your enjoyment and use. Approximately six percent of your tax bill represents the park district portion.

OUR PURPOSE

Whether it’s by offering wholesome programs, activities and special events, by providing enjoyable facilities or by preserving the aesthetic beauty of our community, the sole purpose of Zion Park District is the enrichment of lives.

LIABILITY

Zion Park District recommends that anyone enrolled in any program, sport or other activity or anyone who uses a park or facility provide their own insurance coverage through their own family insurance program. Zion Park District assumes no responsibility for personal injuries or loss of personal belongings while using Park District facilities or parks.

SMOKE FREE PARKS

Please be advised that the Zion Park District is smoke free in all parks and buildings. We ask that you refrain from smoking while visiting any of our parks. Visit us online for a full listing of our park amenities here.

CONCEALED CARRY BAN POLICY

Concealed Carry Ban Policy covers all park district parks and facilities. We thank you for helping us maintain the integrity of the law.

ADVERTISING DISCLAIMER

The Zion Park District reserves the right to utilize visual, digital and audio images of any and all program participants for publicity and advertising messages. All methods of advertising will adhere to established marketing guidelines and will be presented in an ethical manner. Your signature on the registration waiver form indicates your permission to use your photo for promotional purposes.
