Jordan Park Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

Come out and play with us as we enjoy the new playground at Jordan Park! The Zion Park District will host a ribbon cutting ceremony at Jordan Park, 4120 Franklin Court, on Saturday, April 20, at 10 a.m. All are welcome to attend the celebration and try out the new playground! My Mama’s Mini Donut food truck will be on site offering complimentary donuts.

The Park District regularly replaces playground equipment based on lifecycle, use, and condition. After evaluating the District’s replacement schedule and overall condition of the playground, Jordan Park was approved for renovation by the Park Board.  In addition to the new playground equipment, many other improvements were completed to revitalize the property.

The new playground features an area for 2-5 and 5-12 year olds, new inclusive and generational swings, climbing elements and a 20’ curved track ride. Additionally, a twist rope spinner provides opportunities for kids to increase their balance, strength and play together.
