Shepherd’s Crook Golf Course Hosted the Mid-American Junior Golf Tour

On May 10 and 11, 107 total golfers, ages 12-18 played in the Shepherd’s Crook Open. One local golfer, Jeremy Schwab, from Beach Park tied for 44th place in the weekend tournament. The event was designed for Mid-American Junior Golf Tour Members allowing all boys and girls to showcase their talent in an overall boys and girls contest.

The Shepherd’s Crook Open is nationally recognized and points were awarded towards the Boys/Girls MAJGT All-Midwest Team Standings. The Mid-American Junior Golf Tour (MAJGT) is designed for exceptionally talented junior golfers throughout the Midwest ages 12-18. The MAJGT is nationally recognized by the Golfweek Sagarin Rankings, Junior Golf Scoreboard and American Junior Golf Association with all of its events providing national exposure.
