If an individual is seeking shelter from the extreme heat, the Leisure Center and Hermon Park Community Center are cooling centers. The cooling centers are open during regular business hours.

Leisure Center, 2400 Dowie Memorial Drive,
Mon-Fri 6am-9pm, Sat 7am-1pm, and Sun 8am-3pm

Hermon Park Community Center, 2700 29th Street,
Mon-Fri 8am-8pm & Sat 12pm-6pm (Closed Sundays)

Residents are reminded to:

✅Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids
✅Try to stay in the shade or indoors as much as possible
✅Never leave children or pets unattended in a vehicle
✅Check on elderly neighbors and those with functional needs
✅Take pets indoors and make sure they have plenty of water
